Wildflowers

Wildflowers

You picked me wildflowers

and put them in my hair

We would stroll along the property line

through the tall grass and spring air

Chorus:

I never meant to do you wrong

You never meant to cause me harm

We’ll never mention the love we shared

But God as our witness,

It was there.

You picked me wildflowers

Said, ‘you’re beautiful, my love’.

You filled my world with colors, i’ve never seen

before.

You said my empty arms were enough

Chorus

Every note, to every song

every show, you came along

All the moments, to all the secrets

There’d be a day, I’d have to say
