“In a band it’s all about relationships…that is the glue that pulls good music together”
GREG STEVENS—co-manager/consultant/national record promotions
At 14, Stevens began his first radio job playing Sunday morning tapes on AM radio. He worked at a variety of Rock, Pop and Country stations during his radio career. Some of his most notable stops included KNIX Phoenix, KRAK Sacramento and KRST Albuquerque.
He switched to the record business in the 90’s. Stevens’ music business journey started with BNA, and has included stints with Rising Tide, RCA, VFR , Nine North, Grassroots Promotions and Quarterback Records.
Greg has worked with developing many artists, including Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Lonestar, Thompson Square, Tracy Lawrence, Jack Ingram, Willie Nelson and many more.
Greg met Jael when she won alternate at the Texaco Country Showdown for Montana in 2011 and 2012, for which he was a judge. Since then he has been a constant source of inspiration, knowledge, wisdom and friendship.
Stevens is now Director of National Record Promotions for Grassroots Record label in Nashville, TN.
NELL JOHNSON–co-manager/bookings/local promotions
Nell grew up surrounded by music. With her husband Steve, she has raised three musicians (and one ‘doc’ in the Coast Guard). Nell wants to always be there to inspire and encourage the expression of music that speaks to the heart. She also stands guard over Jael and her musicians…friends call her the “momma bear”.
Right now Nell is the one that deals with legal issues, promoters and bookings for shows, leaning heavily on the counsel and guidance of Greg and Britt.
Nell works with an international missionary training organization, which provides the flexibility for her to give attention to Jael’s music schedule.
Her greatest desire is that God is glorified through anything her children are called to do, and right now for Jael, it is to write and sing her music.
